2007 Super Bowl – Super Bowl XLI Game Summary:
The 2007 Super Bowl, also known as Super Bowl XLI, took place on Feb. 4, 2007 at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida.
The Super Bowl game XLI played on February 4 2007 was certainly a nail biter for many Indianapolis Colts fans. Especially during the first quarter when their team was down 14-6, but it turned out to be a spectacular game that ended up with the Chicago Bears losing the game by a score of 29-17.
The win can truly be attributed to the amazing performance of quarterback Peyton Manning who completed 25 out of 38 passes, for a staggering 247 yards and a passing rating of 81.8! He was named the MVP (most valuable player of the game) which was well deserved, and it was only his first Super Bowl win. He was one of the most dominant quarterbacks in the NFL all throughout his nine year career!
It was this stunning performance that allowed the Indianapolis Colts to capitalize and shut the Chicago Bears down to only 3 points in the second half, outscoring them, 23-3 in the last 2 quarters giving them this impressive win, and shocking many of the Bears fans!
Ironically enough, it was the first time two African American coaches met on the field for the first time as well, Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy, with Tony coming out on top with his team win!
